Chair Person

Caroline Whittaker RRC is a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health). Caroline has worked in occupational health for over 24 years, in a range of organisational settings. She moved into academia full time three years ago with a vision to create occupational health courses that meet the needs of employers and occupational health practitioners.  She currently works as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Glamorgan and continues to combine this with working in practice to maintain her skills.   

 

Caroline is on the committees of the RCN Society of Occupational Health Nursing and Safety Representatives Committee and is currently Chair of RCN Occupational Health Wales.  Caroline has presented at a number of national and international conferences and writes for Occupational Health Journal.

 

Caroline is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army and has undertaken operational tours to Bosnia and Iraq.  In 2004 she was awarded the Royal Red Cross First class for services for nursing in Iraq.  Caroline is an Assistant Regional Nurse for St John Cymru Wales which encompasses the provision of nursing at public events such as the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.  In her spare time she attempts to play golf and enjoys hill walking with the dog.
