October 2010- Equality act 2010 codes of practice have been released. Relevant to OH professionals is that covered within the code of practice for employment - link to Equality and Human rights commission site
October 2010- OH Nurse Register has been set up by the Society of Occupational Medicine aiming to improve communication amoungst OH nurses - link to SOM site
August 2010- Good Occupational Medical Practice has been released by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine. Link to PDF on FOM site
January 2010- Occupational Health Service: Standards for Accreditation have been developed by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine in partnership with a multidisciplinary, multi agency stakeholder group- Link to PDF on FOM site
December 2009- The Working joints and Muscles toolkit has been released from Business in the Community-(Link)
December 2009 - Published Position paper on The Association between Shift Working and (I) Breast Cancer and (ii) Ischaemic Heart Disease has been published from the IIAC (from The industrial Injuries Advisory Council)
November 2009-NHS Health and Wellbeing:(Final report) has been published by Dr Steven Boorman (PDF- from the Department of Health site)
November 2009- Guidance for promoting mental wellbeing at work has been published by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) (link)
September 2009- RCN Occupational Health Wales provides input into “One Wales Occupational Health Task and Finish Group” recommendations. (link)
August 2009 - National Guidelines for the Occupational Management of Upper limb Disorders in the workplace has been published by NHS Plus and the Occupational Health Clinical Effectiveness Unit, (OHCEU).
